About Us
Born from necessity - designed to last a lifetime
In the search for a quality product for myself and my family, I decided to design and manufacture my own flat pack braai. The whole idea being that it needed to be quality, something that would last long enough for my children to use, and it needed to be practical.
Because of this, quality and a practical design have been the core values of our company. All of our braai's are designed by an engineer to be strong, tough and simple to use. We test and actively use our products ourselves, so we can comfortably stand behind our claims.
All of our braai's are manufactured from 3mm 304 stainless steel. This is stronger and more resistant to temperature and corrosion than cheaper stainless steels such as 3CR12. This, coupled with engineering design is what makes our braai's the quality product that they are and gives them that premium feel.

What is stainless steel? And what grade do you want for your braai?
Stainless steel is a steel that contains a high percentage chromium, giving it its heat and corrosion resistant properties.
The two main types of stainless steel are Austenitic and Ferritic. As the name suggests, ferritic stainless steel is magnetic. Ferritic stainless steels are plain chromium stainless steels and they tend to become fragile upon prolonged exposure to temperatures between 450 and 550°C. 3CR12 is a ferritic stainless steel, and because of these properties it is most commonly used for applications such as cable racking, stairways, handrailing, etc., because of its corrosion resistant properties.
Ferritic alloys cannot compete with Austenitic alloys in terms of durability. Austenitic stainless steels are chromium and nickel containing stainless steels. They are non-magnetic and have excellent mechanical properties over a wide range of temperatures. In addition, these steels are easy to clean, which enhances their use in applications in hygienic and sterile environments. This is why Austenitic stainless steels such as 304 are used so extensively in industrial, commercial and domestic fields, including items such as high-quality pots, pans, braai’s and cutlery.
When purchasing your braai, choose something that has the correct corrosion and heat resisting properties – make sure it is manufactured from 304 stainless steel. If in doubt, take a magnet with you and test the steel.
